Golden VR Oriental Food Store
819 products migrated into a live online store, with sales in the first weeks

The problem
Golden VR is a Filipino and oriental food store in Fulham, London, with a loyal local customer base and a product range running to hundreds of items, from dry goods and frozen food to fresh produce.
The shop had no way to sell online. Customers who moved away, or who could not get to Fulham, had no way to buy, and the store had no presence when people searched for Filipino groceries in London.
Putting a store this size online is mostly a data problem. Every product needs a name, price, image and category, and getting 819 of them wrong means a shop nobody can navigate.
What we built
We built the store on WooCommerce, which suits a product catalogue of this size and keeps day-to-day management, stock and pricing in the shop owner's hands rather than ours.
All 819 products were migrated and organised into a category structure a customer can actually browse, so finding one sauce among hundreds takes seconds rather than scrolling.
The store went live and took real orders within its first weeks, from customers the physical shop could never have reached.
Features and benefits
- 819 products migrated, categorised and searchable
- Online ordering with payment taken at checkout
- Stock and pricing manageable by the store's own staff
- A store that serves customers well beyond Fulham
How it works
- Customers browse the catalogue by category or search for a specific product.
- Orders and payment are taken online through the store's checkout.
- The shop receives each order with everything needed to pick and fulfil it.
- Staff manage products, prices and stock themselves through the store admin.
Technical foundation
WooCommerce on WordPress, chosen so the store owner manages products and orders without depending on a developer for daily changes.
